Most Delicious Creamy Fruity Smoothie Under 200 Calories

I recently found a smoothie recipe that looked absolutely delicious but it was 300 freaking calories per serving! That’s like 3 miles walking at an extremely fast pace to burn that off! So I did some altering and found out I could make one just as delicious and creamy for 182 calories….win-win!!

I add a tablespoon of chia or ground flax seeds to my smoothies. Both flax and chia seeds are healthy additions to your diet. They’re both good sources of plant-based omega-3 fatty acids, fiber and minerals.

Did you know two tablespoons of chia seeds have almost 10 grams of fiber. That’s around 40 percent of the recommended daily intake. Diets high in fiber have been linked to weight loss. Bonus!!

Creamy, Fruity Smoothie

1/4 cup Mountain High Low-fat Vanilla Yogurt
1/4 cup unsweetened coconut milk
1/4 cup fresh blueberries
2-3 whole, fresh strawberries
1/2 banana, frozen
1/2 T honey
1 T chia seeds or ground flaxseeds
hand full of ice

Blend all ingredients until smooth.
